Spotlight on Deaf Individuals

Let it snow,
Let it snow,
Let it snow,

The last spotlight is a story of a family that went above and beyond.  This winter has been a doozey for Maryland residents.  Record breaking snow storms have confined us to our homes more than once.  The state is not prepared to deal with the overwhelming amount of snow that we received.  The weekend before Christmas, Maryland was hit with a huge snow storm.  The news channels reported over 20 inches of snow.  Christ United Methodist Church of the Deaf, home of the Deaf Shalom Zone was covered in snow and in need of a good shoveling.  Pastor Sandi Johnson was outside working hard to remove the snow when Ruth and David Crosby and their daughter Terri pulled up to lend a helping hand.  As we all know, shoveling snow is hard, wet, necessary work.  The Crosby’s did not need to help out but they did their part to chip in and clear off the sidewalks at church so that the doors could reopen.  Thank you Ruth, David, and Terri!  We at the Deaf Shalom Zone extremely appreciate your help!
